I decided to let my LH take me for a spin. In this kind of a groove my LH acts like a bass player kind of. It has a feel like a comp over a bass solo.
In this context my LH has a limited vocabulary as if I go into this small box to play. It's funny how I really strive for freedom from getting stuck in patterns, then go to play something "over here" and almost always go right to this particular bag of tricks. This is good - it exposes an area to be further developed or widened.
